Does the parents how carry diffrent gene defect for alpha thalsssema, the gene can inherited by 25% ?

if the genes defect diffrent beween father (1gene) and mother( 1 gene but another gene defect not the same i mean from the father) ,the percentage to carry the gene for their each child is 25% is it right?
