These are the formulas. To convert celsius to farenheit your formula is Tc(5/9)*(Tf-32). To convert farenheit to celsius your formula is Tf(9/5*(Tc+32). To convert celsuis to farenheit if the temperatureis 98 degrees celsuis, you will subtract 32, and your answer will be 66. Then you will multiply 66*5. Your answer will be 330. Then you will divide 330 by 9. Your answer will be 36.666666 celsuis. If you want to convert farenheit to celsuis you will add 32 to 98. Your answer will be 130. You will then multiply 130*9. Your answer will be 1170. Then you will divide that by 5. Your answer will be 234 farenheit.
An interesting fact about celsuis and farenheit is the origination of these terms. Anders Celsuis (1701-1744) was a Swedish astronomer. Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686-1736) was a German physicist.

Dr. Brannigan
This calculation is easily done according to the following equation: C=(F-32F)X 5C/9F. Thus to convert 212F to C: C= (212F-32)X5C/9C= 180CX5/9 = 100C. The fraction in the conversion equation comes from the fact that 5 Celcius degrees is the same length as 9 Fahrenheit degrees.

C = (F - 32) * (5 / 9)
So, take the F temperature, subtract 32, then multiply the result by 5 / 9.

For example 212 F
Subtract 32 = 180
Multiply by 5 / 9
You get 100 C.
