Hi there. There is some antidotal evidence that suggest that the herb, pepermint and its oil helps to relieve certain types of headaces and migranes in addition to releiving "irritible bowl syndrome", diarehia and other related digestive problems. In my opinion, I would get plenty of sleep the night before, eat a high protein but low carb breakfast (i.e. veggie omlet etc if you are not allergic to eggs) and take a heaping spoonful of D-ribose in water or juice before taking your exam. D-ribose is a actually a remarkable type carbohydrate which accelerates the production of ATP but does not give any significant insulin response and is OK for diabetics as well! So you do not get tired but become quite energized mentally in a healthy way. D-ribose is the immediate metabolic precursor to your production of adenesine triphosphate (ATP), the chief energy currency of all living organisms especially the brain. The brain requires lots of ATP for its activity especially during an exam. Good luck.

I looked it up on the internet and it seems that scientific research regarding the effects of eating peppermint on brain activity has been poorly conducted. There is no data to support the claim that it will help you on your exam.

However, peppermint can help calm your stomach if it is upset due to nervousness. Other than avoiding a tummy ache that might distract you from your test, eating peppermint is not likely to affect your scores at all.
