Tips to writing the best biography?

I was assigned to write one of the parent's biography from the time they were born till now, so i need few tips on what to write? My teacher suggested on asking one of my parents questions about there early life. Plus, he included that he wanted which high school and college they went, so i am clear with that! I am quite not sure on what questions to ask and few useful tips on writing a great biography! I need ur help in asking what questions! Thank You!

The first solution is to ask lots of questions that are NOT answered with a "yes" or "no." These are called open-ended questions. Example: What were your parents like? What was your best subject in school? Why? How did you and Dad meet?
As for the writing, the key is to write a brief outline before you start writing. On the top of your assignment (if you're typing it on a computer) write down in short words what you want to include in your assignment. Example (using information from you and my sample questions):
OUTLINE
where my parents were born
put something about their school
put how they met
write about their jobs
write about their families

With that down, you won't leave out anything important and you can refer back to it as you're writing (make sure to delete it before you print it for your teacher).
To really make your biography interesting, make sure to include something really interesting or funny about your parents.
Also, I would definitely suggest having someone read it for errors in grammar and spelling once you're finished.
Good luck.
