In order to get the volume of a cylinder, the first thing to do is to figure the area of the base, The formula is
r^2*3.14159256 (pi). 3.14 is sufficient unless you need to be more exact. Multiply this product by the height.

The volume of a cylinder is V = (3..141592653589794626433232795....) * radius^2 * h || more generically the area of base times the height.

Volumecylinder = pi r2 h

Here is the formula for the volume of a cylinder (note the correct spelling).

V = π r 2 h

where V = volume

π = 3.14

r = radius of the cylinder

h = height of the cylinder
