Thanks, Yummy.
Mr. Wilson needs to get off his duff and do his own work rather than having others do it for him. Less time on the internet and more time with the books.
The purposeof a TUTOR is to provide HELP, not to do the work FOR the student. I don't encourage and I don't tolerate cheating.
I know where Mr. Wilson matriculates and I also know that they would expel him from the program if they knew he was not handing in his own work.

Mr.mswilson, wat u have said has definitely hurt my feelings so badly! My heart was pumping so hard and fast as i read those lines u wrote about me!!! I felt like my heart was about to pop out of my chest! To admit, no one has ever told such harsh words to me. Its that u always ask questions that are so easy and simple! And pre- Algebra is the same course of math i take! But i have to say something if wat i wrote earlier made you mad! I am sorry about that and its just the way you ask questions that so simple! But i really agree with Dr. Bob's idea! Try ur best and if u dont get it then come and ask! Mr. Bob, i appreciate to wat u said and it made me feel that at least someone is there to agree with wat i said! But seriously......the profanity word Mr.mswilson, u used really did hurt me to dead! Thats all i have to...........................

8 1/2 = 17/2
8 1/10 = 81/10
-8 7/8 = (-1)(8)(7/8) = (-1)(71/8) = -71/8
19/8 = 2 3/8
65/8 = 2 49/8
-57/6 = (-1)(57/6) = (-1)(2 45/6) = -2 45/6
3/2126 = 1/2126 3/2126 =
542/(-25) = 2 492/(-25)

I assume that the fraction needs to be converted to an improper fraction
8-1/2 = 17/2 8-1/10 = 81/10 -- 8-7/8 = -- 71/8

19/8 = 2-3/8 65/8 = 8-1/8 -- 57/6 = -- 9-3/6 = -- 9-1/2

If a mixed numeral is needed 3/2126 cannot be converted to a mixed numeral.
542/(--25) = --21-17/25

A student writes: isnt this website called " TUTOR ANSWER"???????????????????????????????/

My reply is that TUTOR ANSWER is not the same as STUDENT COP OUT!
The student is merely dumping scores of problems onto the site and asking others to do his work for him- and then submitting other people's work as his own. TUTOR ANSWER is not the equivalent for STUDENT CHEAT.

Any tutor worth his/her salt would like student to submit ONE question from each category and then try the same kinds of problems ON HIS OWN and then submit the ANSWERS to see if student is correct and UNDERSTANDS. I have seen no attempt on student's part to meeting tutors half-way. Live is a two-way street.

If student becomes heart surgeon, I do not want to be on his table, knowing that he got answers from someone else without showing his own competence.

So that you can learn to do these , may I suggest that you send ONE problem from EACH CATEGORY of problems and then, using the tutor MODEL, do the rest yourselves?Otherwise what benefit is happening except for submitting other people's work.

CATEGORY ONE
8 1/2 = 17/2
(8 X 2 + 1) divided by the original denominator
Now I invite you to do the others on your own
===========================
CATEGORY TWO
19/8 = (every fraction is a division problem

It's fine for you to ask any questions as long as you read and understand the explanations. No one knows what level of math you're at so it's unfair of yummycookies to tell you you're being lazy if she doesn't know you.

1) 8 1/2
Multiply the integer part of the mixed number times the denominator of the fraction:
8*2 = 16. Then add the numerator of 1 to get 17. 17 becomes your new numerator
The answer is 17/2

2) 8 1/10
Try to do this one on your own using the instructions I gave for #1

3) -8 7/8
This one's a little trickier. You have to put the number in parentheses and keep the negative sign
outside: - (8 7/8)
Now using the method from problem 1 solve inside the parentheses first.
8*8 = 64 then add the numerator, 7, to get 71.
So inside the parentheses you have 71/8.
Now put the negative sign back out in front: -71/8 is the answer

converting to mixed numbers:
1) 19/8
You need to do the division for this problem. 8 goes into 19 2 times with a remainder of 3.
So the answer is 2 3/8

2) Try this one on your own using the method for number 1.

3) Pretend the negative sign isn't there then do the problem using the method for number 1. when you're finished put the negative sign in front of the answer and you'll have your final answer.

Write a mixed numeral:
1) 3/2126
There can only be a mixed number is the numerator is bigger than the denominator so this number cannot be written as a mixed number.

2) 542/(-25)
Pretend the negative sign isn't there. We'll put it back at the end.
So let's work on 542/25. This requires long division.
When you divide 25 into 542 you get 21 with a remainder of 17.
So the answer is 21 17/25 BUT don't forget about the negative sign.
Just put it back in front. It doesn't matter if it's in the numerator or denominator:
your FINAL answer is -21 17/25

i dont want to be mean but Mr.Mwilson23 you have been posting questions that are so simple enough that a fifth or sixth grader could do it! At this case you are just being lazy and just want direct answers, so it is simple enough to copy the answers without any work!!!! I suggest that you do these by your yourself or ask ur parent or your legal guardian for help! This website is not for answers that are so simple enough to do, but for those people think their head through and dont get it! Thank you!
