In 2005, power-plant employees built the world’s largest igloo in
Quebec, Canada. The igloo is approximately in the shape of a half sphere and has
a volume of about 1728π cubic feet. What is the igloo’s approximate diameter?
(Hint: The formula for the volume of a sphere is V = 4/3 πr3.)

Hey anonymous entity, I alone can answer your above easy question, which is what is the igloo's approximate diameter?

V = 1.666666667*(3.14159265359979323846....)^3.

Given the fact the volume is (V = 1728), all that would be required is to substitute this value back into the original expression to derive the radius and then twice that to derive the diameter.

(1728) = 4/3PIE^3 => (3/4) * 1728 = PIE*r^3 = 3 * 432 = PIE*r^3 = 1296 = PIE^3 PIE r^3 = 1296/PIE => r = cubeRootOf(1296/PIE) = cubeRootOf(412.5296124919271....) = 7.4442058907928002000160817445733.

diameter (d) = 2r = 2*r = 2*(7.4442058907928003000160817445733) = 14.888411781585600400032163489146
