There is a door in our house that creaks when you push it.

jdrew39 		The continental US has about 105 major snow storms each year, and Buffalo, New York is one of the snowiest major cities. This is correct. The reason is that there are two independent clauses separated by the word and. The other is incorrect because the two independent clauses are separated only by a comma making that sentence incorrect.

The next sentece states that the mountain rains. It is impossible for a mountain to rain. Please try to correct this sentence.

There is a door in our house that creaks when you open it. (Correct).

A rainbow is formed when sunlight is bent, and split into colors. (Incorrect)......You omit the comma to make this correct.

The next sentence is also incorrect. Omit the comma.

The colors of the spectrum that make up the light are as follows: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. (Correct)

In the last sentence you should omit the comma after the word "are". That comma makes the sentence incorrect.

The colors of the spectrum that make up light are violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red.
That first comma after "are" shouldn't be there. I don't know if that was a typo on your part or an indication that the sentence is wrong.
