Determine which points are the vertices of a triangle.

(-3, -1), (0,0), (3,1)
(-4,2), (4, -2), (-12,6)
(2,4), (1,1), (0, -6)
(0,5), (0, -1), 0, -5)

I understand that any points that form a straight line cannot form a triangle. Beyond that, I am clueless.

For each set of points, calculate the 3 slopes by( y1-y2)/ (X1-X2). The set where all 3 slopes are different will be the triangle. If any 2 slopes for one set of vertices is the same, it means that the lines are parallel, thus no triangle. For instance, the last set gives infinity for all 3 slopes (dividing by 0)

By looking at your points, the vertex of each set of 3 points, is the point in the center ( ). But on the other hand, it depends on how you decide to draw the lines (a,b,c),(a,c,b),(b,c,a).
