The question asked for the notes in a single chord, "the G/C chord." I examined a piano-guitar songbook with guitar chords marked above the piano score. In all of the many cases I saw where the guitar chord is marked "G/C," the corresponding piano score below had all the notes for a G chord in the right hand (and some in the left), with a low C added in the bass.

By all these examples, it seems clear that G/C means a G chord with a C in the bass. An example from lowest to highest note would be: C-G-B-D.

Autism
C Major Chord = C,E and G
C Minor Chord = C, Eflat and G

G Major Chord = G, B and D
G Minor Chord = G, Bflat and D

These are based on PIANO or Keyboard.

There are also several other variations of both C and G chords.

Please call with any other questions @ 860-608-9688. Thanks. Ms. Bonnie Schumann
